Who we are
At SIHS, we work at the intersections of health, exclusion, creativity, and justice. Our approach is grounded in self-knowledge, critical reflection, and horizontal dialogue. We believe in amplifying voices that are often excluded from dominant medical narratives and in building space for both accountability and collective flourishing. Through storytelling, art-based inquiry, and action, we imagine new futures of care — ones rooted in justice, complexity, and compassion.

Our mission
We are the Student Inclusion Health Society (SIHS) — a group of UCL students working alongside our Junior Doctor lead to reimagine healthcare from the margins.
We work at the intersections of health, exclusion, creativity, and justice. Rooted in self-knowledge and horizontal dialogue, we aim to amplify the voices often left out of medical narratives, create space for flourishing, and build more compassionate futures.

What we do
- Capacity-building workshops
- Creative, research-based projects
- Community partnerships and placements
We support students in deepening their understanding of health inequities and becoming active participants in systems change.
We are currently building student-led placements in collaboration with local organisations that work with people experiencing homelessness, migration, addiction, and other forms of structural exclusion. We’re actively recruiting UCL students to help run, develop, and reflect on these placements as part of a wider learning community.
